Exhibition: Blick ins Unbekannte - Die Schönheit und Komplexität des Gehirns

Researching the brain is one of the greatest challenges facing science. And Dr. Rachel Lippert loves challenges. Born in the USA, she heads the Neural Circuits Junior Research Group at the German Institute of Human Nutrition in Potsdam-Rehbrücke (DIfE). Together with her team, she wants to find out how neuronal circuits develop within complex networks in the brain. In particular, she is looking at the control of the balance between calorie intake and energy consumption in the brain, known as energy homeostasis. To do this, the researchers look directly into the brain. What they see there is both fascinating and mysterious.

The exhibition is presented by NeuroCure researcher Dr. Rachel Lippert and her team. The kick-off will take place on March 12 at 2 p.m., when the researchers will open their gallery in person.

Wissenschaftsetage Potsdam WIS | 4th floor | Exhibition: March 12, 2 p.m. until April 9, 2024, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. | Admission free
