Inclusion and Diversity in Academia: Relevance and Steps Forward

On October 8, 2020, the Cluster’s Equal Opportunity Officer, Kimberly Mason, joined Women Techmakers Nuremberg for a talk on inclusion and diversity in science. In her talk, she looks at changing expectations from funding organizations, and shares how her own understanding of equal opportunity and diversity has evolved over time. She discusses the big-picture relevance of diversity for science, and introduces some of the practical steps the Cluster has taken to integrate more aspects of diversity into its support for equal opportunity.
