NeuroCure at the Long Night of the Sciences 2017

29.06.2017

The 8th annual Long Night of the Sciences welcomed more than 10,000 visitors on
Saturday, June 24, 2017.

The Cluster of Excellence NeuroCure took part, joining forces with the Einstein Center for Neurosciences Berlin and the Center for Stroke Research at a shared stand on the Charité Campus Mitte. Between 5 p.m. and midnight, visitors could test their knowledge in a neuro-quiz and find out more about the Cluster. Young visitors had the chance to draw their answers to the question: What do I think the brain looks like? – with some very creative results!

In the seminar room next to the NeuroCure stand, guests had the opportunity to listen to interesting talks, including Hospital on four wheels – on the road with the stroke-mobil (Alexander Kunz), Brain and gut – the influence of intestinal flora (Katarzyna Winek) and Of polar bears and humans: autoimmune diseases of the brain (Nina Wenke).

The neurosciences were also represented at this year’s Charité Science Slam. At this event, young scientists had just eight minutes to present their complex research topics with clarity and wit.
