Career Support
NeuroCure supports neuroscientists at every career stage – from master’s students to junior group leaders - through tailored programs, networking opportunities and resources for scientific and professional development.
Through our partnerships with the International Graduate Program Medical Neurosciences and the Einstein Center for Neurosciences Berlin we offer structured educational programs for master’s and PhD students to support the next generation of neuroscientists.
For postdoctoral researchers, NeuroCure awards a range of research fellowships with distinct foci. In an international call, the newly established NeuroCure Talents Program offers three years of funding for outstanding postdocs in basic, clinical, or translational neuroscience, while the International Visiting, Training & Exchange (InViTE) Program fosters collaboration specifically with researchers from Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Since 2011, NeuroCure has supported women in our local neuroscience community through its Research Fellowships for Female Postdocs
Junior group leaders are supported through dedicated mentoring opportunities, training in leadership and negotiation skills, and peer networks to support their transition into independent research careers.
Career development is further supported by the Berlin Neuroscience Network, which provides resources on career paths, funding opportunities, and job offers. The network also hosts the Career Lunch Talk Series, and fosters exchange among neuroscientists and alumni across Berlin. In addition, its event calendar highlights workshops, trainings, lectures, science communication events, and networking activities in Berlin and beyond.
In addition to the training for neuroscientists offered by NeuroCure and its partners, the Berlin University Alliance provides a wide range of personal and professional development opportunities.
