LEMS-BoD: A questionnaire survey for systematically recording and characterizing limitations on the quality of life within the scope of Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome
Study Description:
Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) is a disease that has long-term effects on the lives of those who have it. While there are differences in what course the disease takes, as well as in its severity, most people with LEMS suffer constraints on their ability to work and enjoy leisure activities throughout the course of their illness. This can be a great burden for those who have been affected.
In the study “A questionnaire survey for systematically recording and characterizing limitations on the quality of life within the scope of Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS)”, a team of researchers addressed the stress levels apparent in the lives of those suffering from LEMS and tried to uncover and assess which particular factors may be having positive and negative consequences on the overall quality of life of the patients. The goal was to use the results of this study to develop long-term treatment concepts that will improve the quality of life of patients with LEMS.
