Career and Family
To help both male and female scientists balance career and family, NeuroCure participates in selected programs of the Charité and partner institutions:
In 2016 NeuroCure provided seed funding for a week-long summer camp on Campus Mitte organized by the Charité Family Office for children aged 6-12.
Based on the success of the program, the Family Office was able to secure other funding for summer camp in 2017 – for two weeks on all three Charité campuses! For more information please visit the webpage of the Charité Familienbüro.
KidsMobil is a cooperation partner of the Charité offering flexible emergency childcare. Please find more information here.
As a non-school learning center at the biomedical campus Berlin-Buch with five research laboratories, the Life Science Learning Lab (German name: Gläsernes Labor) offers more than 20 experimental courses for secondary school students.
NeuroCure has played a key role in initiating the new FRÖBEL Kindergarten at the Charité opened in 2017 near the Campus Mitte. The new facility will provide daycare for approximately 70 children of employees and students of the Charité as well as of families from the local community.
NeuroCure is committed to contributing to the success of this facility by providing seed funding for specific programs identified in cooperation with FRÖBEL.
