NeuroCure@Humboldt Lab

Alongside the other Berlin clusters, NeuroCure is taking part in the inaugural exhibition "After Nature" at the Humboldt Lab. After a long planning period and implementation phase, we are especially pleased to welcome visitors to our two exhibitions.

On July 20, 2021, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin opened the Humboldt Lab in the Humboldt Forum. The exhibition can be found on the second floor and covers a space of 150 m² in the foyer and a further 600 m² in the main hall.

In the first exhibition, scientists from various disciplines discuss their research questions while a film and a remarkable collection of images give visitors insight into the scientific research activities of the NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence (Film Link).

Our second exhibition, the NeuroCure research station, can be visited in the main hall.

Research station - a journey through the brain
At the research station of the NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence, visitors are invited to embark on a playful expedition into the control center of the human brain. On a fascinating visual journey, they learn about the most important functions of the brain. All areas of the brain can be controlled virtually. Research methods and their applications are also explained on the various touchscreens. These are suspended in a lattice framework specially designed by artists to symbolize a network. Animations explain complicated facts and three NeuroCure scientists invite the visitor virtually into the lab and present their daily research routine. Visitors gain insight into how questions about diseases, behavior and memory can be translated into experiments and what great challenges researchers sometimes face.

Admission to the Humboldt Lab is free.
