DON’T PUT YOUR RABBITS FAR FROM THE WOOD - by Jörn Klare

Berlin Science Week - A theatrical performance about dementia, followed by a panel discussion

Date: Tuesday, 3 November 2020, 20:00
Location: tak - Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg, Prinzenstraße 85 F, 10969 Berlin

First, she misplaced her glasses, then she forgot a few PIN numbers, now she can't find her way around her own house. But her daughter is demanding to know who her father was, a question she has refused to answer all her life. Meanwhile, time is running out; memories are blurring and threatening to disappear forever. A thought-provoking, touching, oftentimes funny and surreal piece about forgetting, remembering, repression, and losing oneself; a play that questions what it means when a person drifts into dementia and there are no longer any certainties.
Performed by Christa Müller & Anna von Schrottenberg, Director: France-Elena Damian

Following the play, neuroscientists Dr. Miranka Wirth and Dr. Susanne Wegmann will answer questions from the audience in a joint discussion with the production team.

Moderation: Dr. Jochen Müller

The play is in German with English surtitles. The panel discussion will be only in German.
