Soapbox Science

On June 28, 2026, Holzmarkt 25 in Berlin will become an open-air stage for science. At Soapbox Science Berlin, twelve women* scientists will present their research from soapboxes – making science accessible, interactive, and engaging for everyone.
Inspired by Speakers’ Corner in London’s Hyde Park, Soapbox Science brings research directly into public spaces and creates opportunities for dialogue between scientists and the public. The international initiative aims to increase the visibility of women* and non-binary people in science and to inspire audiences who may not otherwise engage with scientific research.
From 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., visitors are invited to discover current research topics, ask questions, and engage directly with the scientists. The event is free of charge and open to people of all ages, with no prior scientific knowledge required.
